After all the hard work and training, team Aztech completed the first ever Milton Keynes Marathon.

The weather was against the team with non stop rain and wind but they all managed to make it across the finish line.

All the team did incredibly well considering it was their first ever marathon.

The times for all the guys were as follows;

Dean Sartin (3hr 22 mins)
Chris Houghton (4hr:23 mins)
Sean Houghton (4hr:27 mins)
Relay Team Aztech – (Mike, Ben, Rob & Neil Bigrave) (4hr:22)

We’d like to thank everyone who came out to support us in the rain and all those who have donated.

We were running the for MK Little Lives Appeal and so far we have raised £1,361.20 which is amazing, visit www.justgiving.com/aztechit-Chris for more details.

Watch this space to see if we can manage another one next year!

Aztech Running

It’s only a couple of days away until we take on the Milton Keynes Marathon.

Team Aztech have been training hard over the past weeks and months and are now very excited about the race on Sunday.

Our corporate relay team consists of Ben, Mike, Rob and Neil while Dean, Sean and Chris are running the full race.

We’re really hoping the weather is kind for the team who have now raised over £1,000.00 and counting for our chosen charity the MK Little Lives appeal (http://www.justgiving.com/AztechIT-Chris

Good luck to team Aztech for the weekend and check back to our blog for updates and pics on the race next week!

The 60 second interview…

Dean Sartin
Service Delivery Manager

How Did you first get in to IT?
After 10 years working within the building industry, and being the unofficial IT geek who had to fix everything, I decided to go to University and make it official (An IT engineer that is, not a geek!)

Favourite Film of all time? Or one you have watched recently?
Ravenous – a hidden gem backed up by a great soundtrack

Recent achievements outside of work?

After being entered in the inaugral MK marathon for ‘Team Aztech’, I rediscovered running and now as well as running 25 miles a week, I compete weekly in 5k races, and am breaking my PB times on a regular basis

Recent achievement at work?

Other than getting Rob to make the drinks, it would have to be passing my recent batch of Microsoft Exams

Last track you downloaded?

Cut Copy – Blink And You’ll Miss A Revolution

Favourite restaurant ?

The Frog and Onion, Bermuda

Any good little tech tips for clients?
De-clutter your email inbox, and archive older emails. Don’t use the deleted folder for storage (a big no-no), but empty it on a regular basis – it is not always easy to fetch back emails that had been stored in the deleted folder. Email applications can become very big and can slow down overtime so keeping them clear of un-necessary emails will help keep the PC running more quickly.

Aztech ITWe are excited to announce that our team have moved to a new location in Old Stratford Business Park. We had a great time in our old location at i2’s offices, Luminous House in Central Milton Keynes however the time was right to move to bigger premises

It has been an exciting four years for Aztech IT and we look at this new location as the start of another chapter in our history.  We’re still working on getting settled in but we’re incredibly excited to be in the new space.  We’ll be hosting a cake day soon for our clients, and if you’re in the area, feel free to stop in and say hi!

Thanks for everyone’s support through the years and their help with the move.  Also, we want to give a special shout out to our super contractors, Brian Patton & Derek Powell, who did a phenomenal job in making it look great while we carried on serving our clients..

The move gives us plenty of space to grow as a team and as a company and we look forward to what the next chapter brings us!!

We are now located at First Floor Unit E & F Old Stratford Business Park, Falcoln Drive, Old Stratford, Milton Keynes MK19 6FG

Gold Stars For Aztech ITAztech Score High With Client Satisfaction Surveys!

We recently switched on client satisfaction surveys to measure the performance of our helpdesk services against our competitors.

Our PSA & Ticketing system Autotask is the world number 1 hosted software solution and is used by tens of thousands of IT professionals all over the world . When Autotask integrated client satisfaction surveys with a feature to benchmark your results against other users of Autotask we were intrigued to know how we faired up against the competition.
So far the results have been excellent. We always knew we provided a good service but it was good to hear it from our clients too.

How it works…
The surveys are sent to end users when we complete work on a support issue. The user is then sent an email and asked 5 questions. The user can then give a score of 1 to 5 on how happy they were with the way the issue was dealt with.

Support engineer Rob Burgazzi turned 18 today! Such is Rob’s commitment to the helpdesk rather than take the day off for his birthday he opted to come to work instead. Either that or he has used his allocation of Holiday for this year!
